Information about Collections

When I took on the position as the director of the Bruxville Historical Society, I thought that past residents had laid the groundworks for the official Bruxville Historical Society website. When I checked the digitized archives tab, I discovered that it only consisted of Wikipedia links about Bruxville. This may have been a good start, but there are only 2 Wikipedia articles that reference the town. I am forced to start from scratch. Better yet, we have no digitization tools.

Regarding Native American Arrowheads

The Historical Society has been recieving many envelopes containg Native American lithics. I understand that you may feel excited to contribute to our collection and the understanding of our area's past, but they are completely useless to us. To be honest, we already know that Native Americans lived here for thousands of years before any white settlement and arrowheads are essentially their trash. In fact, every arrowhead you pick up when going on a walk and drop off at our front door renders it completely useless to any further historical analysis. If you are so inclined to sending it to someone, please write a note giving as much context as possible and send it to the State University Anthropology Department. Writing the location, your surrondings, and even coordinates is better than nothing. Also, I would like to get in contact with whoever dropped off this massive stone handaxe the other day. Oh, one more thing, if you insist on sending me lithics, please stop writing "injun tool" on the envelope.
